West African Level 1 (drop-in class)

About the Event:

Join our West African Drumming Level I class, an all-gender weekly drop-in session held on Sundays from 10:30-11:30 a.m. with Dan.

This class caters to beginner and advanced beginner levels, with drums provided for all participants. The session focuses on teaching basic West African rhythms and techniques while helping you build confidence and understanding of the music. Walk-ins are welcome!

Cost: $15 per participant per class.
Open to all gender identities.

Getting There and Accessibility:

Please be prepared to remove your street shoes at the door. You are welcome to bring slippers or non-street shoes to change into upon arrival. We also provide a limited supply of clean socks to borrow. Our no-street shoe policy is designed to protect our new floor.

The center is located in the basement of the Dow Building, accessible by one flight of stairs.
