What Makes a Good Friend?

Friendship is an important part of life. Good friends support us, share our joys and struggles, and often help shape who we become. But what really makes someone a good friend?

Is it loyalty and trust? Is it honesty, kindness, or the ability to listen and understand? Do good friendships depend on shared interests and experiences, or something else?

Different cultures and people may have different ideas about what friendship should look like. Some believe a good friend is someone who always supports you, while others think a true friend is someone who challenges you and helps you grow.

So what qualities truly make a good friend?

This week at IQ Cafe, our speaker will introduce several different perspectives on this question and share their own reflections. After a short introduction, we’ll break into small discussion groups where you’re invited to share your ideas and experiences in an open and respectful space.

🕒 Schedule:
8:00-8:20 - Listen to a bilingual lecture on the night's topic while enjoying snacks and coffee
8:20-9:00 - Discussion in small groups
Afterwards - Stick around and hang out with new friends!
