A pioneering Zambian psychedelic act, W.I.T.C.H. (We Intend to Cause Havoc) is one of the defining bands of Zamrock, blending Western rock and rhythm & blues with traditional African sounds.

🌍 About the Band
Emerging during Zambia's quest for national identity in the 1970s, W.I.T.C.H. drew inspiration from iconic artists like The Beatles and Jimi Hendrix. Their debut album, Introduction (1972), was the first commercially released album by a Zambian band.

🔥 Musical Evolution
W.I.T.C.H. is known for electrifying live performances and their third album, Lazy Bones!! (1975), is considered a masterpiece. The band incorporated local influences in later albums and experienced a revival in the 21st century, leading to new releases like Zango (2023) and Sogolo (2025).
