Women at the Centre of India's Green Transition 🌍

Across India, the shift towards a green economy is fostering new avenues for innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainable livelihoods. Women are at the forefront of this change, leading initiatives in renewable energy, circular economy, sustainable agriculture, waste management, and climate adaptation. However, many still encounter obstacles in accessing finance, markets, technology, networks, and leadership roles necessary to fully engage in and influence the country's green transition.

As India intensifies its climate goals, creating inclusive ecosystems that empower women is not only an economic opportunity but also a crucial development need.

In collaboration with the Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI), the High Commission of Canada in India, Head Held High Foundation, and MASH Project Foundation, an invitation-only leadership roundtable will be held to discuss how enhanced partnerships, financing, and ecosystem support can position women at the heart of India's green transition.

This roundtable will also launch the Women in Green Trade (WGT) initiative, supported by the CFLI.
