Woodcutters
Sarcastic and ironic writer Tomas Bernhard returns to the stage of Divadlo Na zábradlí. After legendary performances (Ritter, Dene, Voss, Histrionics and Heldenplatz) we present a dramatisation of the novel Woodcutters of this Austrian, scandalous and unconforming author. A festive meeting of a group of friends is going to become a deep, ironic probe into lifes of higher society. Eventhough the situations and small talks about theatre and arts seem exaggerated, some of Bernhard real life "friends" recognised themselves in the novel and sued the author for defamation.
