Work day on the Viking ship

Do you want to help maintain a real Viking ship replica? 🛶

Join us as we care for Vidfamne, a stunning replica of a Viking ship discovered just north of Gothenburg. For over 30 years, we've set sail every summer, and this spring it's time for some much-needed maintenance!

This ship is collectively owned by our dedicated members, and we invite YOU to be a part of preserving this unique piece of Scandinavian history. 🔧✨
We'll meet again to prepare Vidfamne for its sailing adventures. Activities include cleaning, applying tar to the wood, and general upkeep. Expect some light physical work – nothing too demanding!

Everyone is welcome to join! No prior experience is necessary, but be prepared to get a bit dirty (so bring clothes and shoes you don’t mind soiling)! 👕👟

The ship is anchored in Eriksberg, located between Pier 4 and 5 at Sörhallskajen. Accessible by public transport, with the nearest bus stops being Sörhallstorget or Eriksbergstorget. There's also a car park close by. If you're arriving by ferry, the stop is Eriksbergs Färjeläge. 🚍🚗🛥️
