Qendresa — Höjden stage, Way Out West

Qendresa has come a long way since uploading hazy, jazz-inflected songs to SoundCloud. Today, the London artist stands as one of the most exciting reinventors of early ’90s R&B, seamlessly folding electronic music, hip-hop and pop into a sound that feels both timeless and unmistakably contemporary. Her distinctive voice and songwriting eventually caught the attention of Drake, leading to a series of collaborations across the albums “Habibti” and “Maid of Honour”. On her acclaimed 2024 debut album “Londra”, Qendresa transformed themes of intimacy, longing and self-discovery into nocturnal, bass-heavy songs where lo-fi soul, modern electronics and ethereal vocals drift effortlessly together. This year’s double single “Rain in July” / “Be The One” continues that evolution, pairing otherworldly synths with devastating reflections on love slipping away, wrapped in a cinematic glow that feels both nostalgic and strikingly futuristic. This year Qendresa brings that unmistakable world to Way Out West.
