On June 20th, the GMC Chamber Series is set to feature a captivating solo performance by Kyungsik Shin, a violist making waves on international stages, including Europe. Renowned for his profound interpretations and enchanting tone, he will present a diverse program spanning from the Romantic era to contemporary 20th-century music. 🌍

• Schumann: Adagio and Allegro, Op. 70
• Schumann: "Märchenbilder" for Viola and Piano, Op. 113
• Bruch: Romance for Viola and Piano, Op. 85
• Clarke: Sonata for Viola and Piano

👏 Kyungsik Shin has made remarkable achievements, including being the first Korean to win at the 2024 Max Rostal International Violin/Viola Competition. He's garnered numerous awards at prestigious contests including the 'Prague Spring' and 'Johannes Brahms' competitions. After completing his studies at Seoul National University, he debuted at the Kumho Young Artist Concert in 2018 and has been actively performing with orchestras and at music festivals.

Dongju Kim, the pianist, rose to prominence after placing sixth at the 2024 Seoul International Music Competition and is expanding his international reach with participation in various competitions. He debuted at age 14 and has been recognized in major domestic contests, continuing to grow musically through diverse performances.
