For over a decade, the Urban Future Prize Competition has spotlighted and accelerated founders who create the essential technologies, infrastructure, and systems our cities need to thrive amid changing conditions. Here are our impressive achievements:
- 23 startups supported
- Over $1 million awarded in non-dilutive funding
- More than $515 million in follow-on capital raised, resulting in an astonishing 515x return on prize dollars deployed!
At this year’s Summit, attendees will engage in shaping the next chapter of this impactful story. The event will culminate in presentations from the 2026 Urban Future Prize Competition finalists—innovators addressing today's urgent challenges such as climate resilience, emissions reduction, mobility, energy, and the circular economy.
These entrepreneurs are vying not only for funding but also for a coveted spot in ACRE, New York’s longest-running climatetech incubator, where groundbreaking ideas evolve into scalable businesses.
This year marks an exciting milestone as we will grant awards to four outstanding candidates across the Climate Adaptation and Climate Mitigation prize tracks:
- 🏆 Two winners will each receive $50k
- 🥈 Two runner-up teams from each track will also gain $10k in non-dilutive funding and admission to the ACRE Incubator.
