You'll discover a treasure trove of media archaeology, crafting stories, light installations, performance visuals, and experimental imagery with the help of vintage Japanese ELMO overhead projectors. 🌈

Utilize cut paper, chromatic gels, textures, water, paints, and other materials to create stunning visuals. Imagine the charm of shadow puppet shows and 1960s psychedelic rock visuals, inspired by filmmakers like Aronofsky and Gondry, as well as the pioneers of experimental cinema. 📽️

Having facilitated similar workshops at locations such as Pixar, DreamWorks, CalArts, and even Zen monasteries, I assure you it’s always a fulfilling experience! 🌍

We'll kick things off with an insightful introduction to the history and creative possibilities of analog projection. After a guided exercise to familiarize you with the materials and techniques, you will have the freedom to craft your own masterpieces, with the option to photograph and film your creations! 📸

As we wrap up, we'll discuss ways to integrate your analog experiments into digital projects, with opportunities for future sessions that may cover 16mm film projection, painted slides, and even basic shadow puppetry! 🎭
