Join us for a profound and insightful lecture as we celebrate Black History Month with renowned curator Andrea Fatona! Co-presented with the Centre for the Study of Black Canadian Diaspora, this event aims to explore the significance of Black history, art, and culture both within our communities and beyond.

🌍 Lecture Highlights:
Andrea will share reflections on her 35-year journey as a curator and researcher, focusing on the visibility of Black Canadian cultural producers. Her presentation will delve into three interwoven themes: collaboration, relational research practice, and space-making, revealing how cultural work fosters connection and possibility.

💬 Discussion: After the lecture, Dr. Joana Joachim will join Andrea in conversation, questioning how we can navigate institutional frameworks while envisioning alternative pathways.

🔈 Accessibility: ASL interpretation will be provided during the lecture. A reception will follow the presentation, offering a chance for dialogue and connection.
