Black Ribbon Day Meeting & Dicsussion
🖤 Black Ribbon Day – Meeting & Discussion
On 23 August, we honor Black Ribbon Day, the European Day of Remembrance for the Victims of Stalinism and Nazism. This date marks the anniversary of the Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact in 1939, a secret agreement between Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union that led to the division of Central and Eastern Europe, resulting in occupation, deportations, and mass repression.
Black Ribbon Day serves to remember the victims of all totalitarian regimes and emphasizes the need to protect democracy, human rights, and the rule of law. By reflecting on the past, we strengthen our commitment to ensuring peace, freedom, and truth for future generations.
Join us for an afternoon of reflection and thoughtful discussion.
