Join us for a special one-day STEAM event where you will visit one of Tokyo’s most iconic historical landmarks and recreate the experience in the world of Minecraft Education. This unique hands-on program combines history, culture, architecture, programming, design thinking, engineering, and digital creativity.

Event Highlights:

• Morning Tour: Guided visit to the Imperial Palace, observing beautiful stone walls, bridges, gates, gardens, and traditional Japanese architecture. Participants will take photos and sketch architectural features.
• Afternoon Workshop: Move to Tokyo Innovation Base (TiB) to work in teams and recreate the Imperial Palace in Minecraft Education using the materials collected during the morning.
• Activities Include:
  • Observation, analysis, brainstorming, and design (approx. 1.5 hours)
  • Building and programming in Minecraft Education (approx. 2.5 hours)

No previous programming experience is required. Beginners can enjoy hands-on building while gradually being introduced to programming concepts, while experienced participants can explore block-based programming and Python to automate construction.

Schedule:

• 9:30 AM – Meeting Point at Tokyo Innovation Base (TiB)
• 10:00 AM–12:00 PM – Imperial Palace Guided Tour 🏯
• 12:00 PM – Picnic Lunch 🍱
• 1:00–5:00 PM – Architecture & Coding Studio 👩‍💻
• 5:30 PM – Event Ends & Pickup 👋

Support & Supervision:

1 instructor for every 6 children (1:6 ratio) ensures individual attention and support throughout the day.

Age Group:

Ages 6–15. No previous experience with Minecraft Education or programming is required.
