About the event

Join us for an engaging interactive workshop that dives deep into the nuances of data and its impact on our technological futures! 🤖✨

As AI systems rely heavily on data generated from our daily actions and interactions, we have the power to shape these technological landscapes. This session invites participants to rethink the narrative around AI inevitability by examining how power, value, and influence circulate through our digital ecosystems.

We’ll collaborate through innovative mapping activities to uncover where data is produced, recognized, and transformed into value. Who benefits from this data? Who shoulders the costs? Together, we’ll re-envision these areas as opportunities for collective empowerment and agency, envisioning a more democratic approach to technology.

This workshop aims to create a shared understanding of the relationships and infrastructures that dictate our digital lives, enabling communities to assert greater control over the data they collectively generate. 🌐✊

Who Should Attend?
This session caters to researchers, artists, community activists, policy-makers, organizers, technologists, educators, and anyone keen on fostering more pluralistic and community-oriented technological futures.

Part of the programme: “A Day of Countering AI Inevitability: Reimagining and Reclaiming AI” at King’s College London on 8th July.
