About the event

Join us for an immersive exhibition, Echoes of Us, showcasing a powerful series of works from the Government Art Collection, exploring the themes of Belonging, Memory, and Connection.

🗨️ This exhibition prompts profound questions about the human experience:
Where do we belong?
What does it mean to revisit a place, a person, or a feeling?
How do the connections we make shape who we are?
What do our memories hold and leave behind?

🖼️ Spanning from the 17th century to the present day, the exhibition features contributions from a diverse group of teenagers and young adults from Plymouth, enabling art to engage in unexpected dialogues. Notable artists include:

  • Barbara Hepworth
  • Cornelia Parker
  • Chris Ofili
  • Phoebe Boswell
  • Alvaro Barrington
  • Alberta Whittle

👁️‍🗨️ A unique commission titled Future Artefact by the artist collective Keiken invites visitors to physically engage with the piece, creating a tactile experience of belonging and communication beyond language.

📅 When: 20 June - 20 September 2026
🕙 Opening Hours: 10am - 5pm, Tuesday to Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday
💸 Admission: FREE!
To enjoy priority access to exhibitions, we encourage visitors to book a ticket in advance.
