Eco Printing on Paper with Mary DeLano, Sept 12

About the event

Dive into the enchanting world of eco printing and learn how to capture the beauty of nature on paper! ๐ŸŒผโœจ In this hands-on workshop, you will merge art, science, and nature, creating stunning foliage prints that can be utilized for various creative projects such as bookbinding, framing, card making, or mixed media works.

Using common chemicals, along with heat and pressure, many plants will release pigments to create precise images on paper. Participants will explore two unique techniques for eco printing:

  • Dirty Pot Method: Submerge paper in iron water for rich prints.
  • Steam Method: Achieve clear backgrounds for your botanical masterpieces.

At the end of the class, you'll walk away with a collection of beautiful prints and the skills necessary to recreate these techniques at home! ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿ–ผ๏ธ
