✨ Ethan's focus during his residency has been on craftingatmospheric fired functional ceramics. Utilizing a uniquesoda firing process, each piece embodies surfaces reminiscent of rusted metal and aged cast iron, evoking a sense of history and use.

🔍 The artworks reflectcorrosion, erosion, and accumulation, suggesting they may be artifacts from another era. While they nod to historical relics, Ethan's goal is not replication, but rather a dialogue between thepast and presentthrough contemporary techniques and material exploration.

🎨 As a Coral Springs, Florida native, Ethan began his ceramics journey in 2021 and earned his BA in Fine Arts Materials in May 2024. His dedication has led him to receive two research grants during his undergraduate studies.

🖌️ The Clay Studio has welcomed over100 artistssince its residency program started, providing them with the opportunity to enhance their skills, engage in the creative community, and contribute through teaching and exhibitions.
