Are you a student from the Faculty of Law, UK, considering participating in a moot court? Come to the FDI Moot Tasting and get a taste of what moot court is all about!
The FDI Moot (Foreign Direct Investment International Arbitration Moot) is an international competition focused on simulating arbitration proceedings related to the protection of cross-border investments. Our faculty proudly participates yearly, consistently bringing home awards from the finals.
This year, past participants have organized a workshop to guide you through the entire competition process and show you how to get involved. You will learn how arbitration differs from court proceedings, led by experienced lawyers Filip Šilhavý and Viktor Glatz from PRK Partners law firm.
Experience firsthand what participating in a moot court entails—working with case materials, legal research, preparing arguments, and presenting them before a panel of “judges,” all in English. Don't worry; experienced mooties will be there to support you at every step!
The event will conclude with an informal social gathering. We invite all law faculty students interested in mooting, especially those who have completed at least one semester of public international law.
Please bring your own laptop.
