GALACONCERT Joseph Alessi and Moravia Brass Band
The Moravia Brass Band annually invites audiences each autumn to a festive GALA CONCERT, which opens the new concert season—and the 2026 edition will be truly exceptional.
On 25 and 27 October 2026, the evening’s special guest will be Joseph Alessi, a world-renowned trombonist and principal trombone of the New York Philharmonic. Audiences can look forward to a virtuosic performance by an artist who ranks among the world’s elite and regularly appears on the most prestigious stages worldwide. The concert will be conducted by the charismatic Chuhei Iwasaki.
The first concert will take place for the first time in the modern surroundings of SONO Centrum in Brno. The programme will feature the very best of the international brass repertoire, new arrangements for brass band, and attractive works for solo trombone and orchestra.
The second concert will be held in the Czech Republic’s most beautiful concert hall, Rudolfinum, in Prague.
The Moravia Brass Band Gala Concert is more than just the opening of the season—it is a musical event that pushes the boundaries of brass performance and brings artists of international renown to the Czech Republic.
