
Geology - An Introductory Workshop
Rocks Ain't Dead but tell many stories, if you know their language. From fiery beginnings to eons of weathering and deposition, rocks record a fascinating tale of time, pressure, deformation, and mineral wealth.
Join us for a full day geological adventure and workshop to learn how to:
- Identify rocks πͺ¨
- Understand basic geological principles π
- Explore various rock minerals π
- Learn about fossilization π¦΄
There will be hands-on interaction with a variety of rocks and minerals, and a short guided walk in the reserve.
This workshop will also delve into the stunning geology of the Western Cape and Great Karoo, examining various rock strata and their meanings. A delightful coffee/tea break with some delectable treats will be included! βπ°
Cost: R450 / person (Includes entrance fee to the reserve and hiring of the lecture hall)
