Participants will dive into a medical image segmentation task, guided step by step through the process of training a machine learning model. Using a ready-made Google Colab notebook, you'll be able to run code yourself and experiment directly — no setup required.

🎓 About the Workshop Leader
The session is led by Abdul Basit Banbhan, who holds both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence from JKU.
His background includes:
- 🔭 A one-year research internship at the IAEA, focused on satellite imagery analysis related to nuclear facilities
- 🇳🇱 A year working at ASML in the Netherlands
- 🧬 A Master's specialisation in AI applications in the life sciences
- 📚 Several years of teaching assistant experience in life science courses, with current lecturing duties at JKU
- 💼 Active work as an AI consultant, developing AI agents for international companies
