Inwood Canoe Club’s Sunday Open House

Join us for an exciting Sunday Open House at the Inwood Canoe Club! Explore the beauty of the Hudson River just north of the George Washington Bridge while enjoying our complimentary 20-minute guided kayak trips. 🌊

Before you paddle, please complete your 2025 Season Waiver prior to your first visit this year.

Event Highlights 🌟

• Open House Sundays: Every Sunday from Memorial Day to Labor Day (May 25 - August 31, 2025)
• Special Note: No Open House on Sunday, July 13; instead, join us on Saturday, July 12 for City of Water Day!

Paddle Times 🕘

• Signup begins in person at 9 a.m. for three guided waves:
  • Wave 1: Arrive 9:45 a.m., launch at 10 a.m.
  • Wave 2: Arrive 10:30 a.m., launch at 10:45 a.m.
  • Wave 3: Arrive 11:15 a.m., launch at 11:30 a.m.

Experience the Adventure 🚣‍♀️

• Choose from our 12 sit-on-top kayaks or partner up in a tandem kayak.
• Enjoy paddling alongside friends, family, or even new acquaintances in our canoemaran that accommodates up to six guests plus two ICC members.

Important Details 📝

• All participants must be able to swim.
• Minimum age of 8 years old; participants under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Paddling eligibility for minors will depend on daily conditions and club discretion.
• We provide the boat, paddle, and personal flotation device (PFD), and no previous kayaking experience is necessary.
• Dress in clothes and shoes that can get wet! 🌧️
• Leave valuables at the boathouse or bring your own waterproof bag; ICC is not responsible for lost items.
• Pets are not allowed at the Open House.

Since 2002, our Open House has been the premier walk-up kayaking program in Northern Manhattan, welcoming over 1,000 guests each summer!
