Jam Session feat. Rob Luft

Jam Session feat. Rob Luft

About the event

Join us for an unforgettable evening at the Highams Park Jazz Club as we feature the incredible Rob Luft in our jam session!

Recently awarded โ€˜Instrumentalist of the Yearโ€™ at the 2025 Parliamentary Jazz Awards, Rob is among the most thrilling jazz guitarists in Europe today. With roots in London, this award-winning artist has been directly compared to legends like Bill Frisell and John McLaughlin.

His debut album, Riser, made waves both domestically and internationally, earning accolades from Downbeat Magazine as one of 2017's finest releases. Winning the prestigious Kenny Wheeler Jazz Prize at the Royal Academy of Music set him on an impressive trajectory; at just 23, he wowed audiences with a unique blend of originals that highlight his distinct sound and remarkable compositional skill.

Dahab Days, his eagerly awaited follow-up released in October 2023, signifies a new phase in his artistic journey. Rob's recognition as a BBC New Generation Artist has led to exciting projects, including a commission for a guitar concerto to be performed at the EFG London Jazz Festival.

Recent collaborations with accomplished artists like John Surman and Manu Katchรฉ have further solidified his standing in the jazz world.
