July Meet-Up at Travis Air Force Base Museum

Join us for an exciting day at the Solano VW Club July Meet-Up! This event promises to be one of our highlights of the year, taking place at the iconic Travis Air Force Base.

Event Highlights:

• Museum Visit
  Enjoy parking your Volkswagens alongside historic aircraft for fantastic photo opportunities! 📸
• Bowling and Lunch
  After exploring the museum, we'll head to the TAFB Bowling Alley for some bowling fun, great food, and socializing with fellow club members! 🎳🍔

Important Information:

• Open to All VWs: Whether you have an Air Cooled or Water Cooled VW, we welcome you! Don't have a VW? You're still invited! 😊
• Base Access: This is an active military installation! Be sure to meet all access requirements to avoid any issues at the gate.

For details on identification requirements and the pre-check process, please read the information below.

Event Timeline:

• 9:00 AM: Gather at the Visitor Center (Front Gate) for base access checks (for those who didn't complete the pre-check).
• 10:00 AM: Entry to the museum for those with Military ID or who passed pre-check.
• 12:00 PM: Club group photo with all cars!
• 12:30 PM: Raffle draw 🎉
• 12:45 PM: Caravan to the bowling alley.
• 1:00 - 3:00 PM: Enjoy bowling (Special Club Rate: $15 per person for 2 hours, including shoe rental) and lunch! 🍕🥤

Base Access Requirements:

Acceptable Identification:

• Military ID (Including Dependent ID)
• California REAL ID (look for the gold bear with a star)
• Standard driver’s license + one of the following:
  • U.S. Passport
  • Social Security Card
  • U.S. Birth Certificate

Important: Minors under 16 need to be accompanied by an adult with ID.

Pre-Check Recommended!

To expedite entry, complete a pre-check by providing your:

• Driver’s License Number
• Social Security Number
• Full Name
• Date of Birth

If you don’t complete the pre-check, plan to arrive by 9:00 AM at the Visitor Center, as processing times may vary. ⏰
