Join us for a beginner-friendly dance experience that dives deep into the jazzy blues! 🌟 Under the expert guidance of Kara Pemberton and Sarah Caldow, this exciting four-lesson progressive series will introduce you to the captivating Savoy Walk—a dance idiom that sprang from the vibrant ballrooms of Harlem, NYC.

Throughout the series, we’ll explore:

• Class 1: Ballroomin' in Close Embrace (June 4th)
  Get started with the fundamentals of close embrace in Ballroomin' Blues dances, a beautiful subset of blues dances originating in ballrooms and jazz clubs.

• Class 2: Get Where You're Going in Ballroomin' (June 11th)
  This lesson will enhance your musicality, focusing on rhythmic walking techniques and making the most of a spacious dance floor.

• Class 3: Pushing into Promenade (June 18th)
  Master the art of moving in line of dance and transition smoothly between close embrace and promenade, while learning tips for effective floor craft.

• Class 4: An Introduction to Savoy Walk (June 25th)
  Conclude the series by diving into the captivating Savoy Walk, featuring guest instructors Mike and Dan Legenthal! Experience the blend of close embrace walking with spins, tricks, and dips that made this dance so iconic.
