Exhibit Title: Jyl Draws Every Day: Creature Double Feature

With this unique collection, Jyl dives into the vibrant world of spring, spotlighting various creatures that signal the season's arrival. From the charming peepers that fill the air with song, to the salamanders and turtles bravely crossing roads, the artwork culminates in representations of small, furry animals.

As the series progresses, Jyl also explores the beauty of color in her art. A proud resident of Manchester, Jyl can often be found sketching and painting throughout downtown, sipping local coffee and engaging with the community.

She holds a Bachelor of Fine Art from St. Anselm College and a Masters of Education from Notre Dame. Jyl has an impressive portfolio of murals around the city, including telephone boxes, electric boxes, and walls. Her standout projects feature two towering pillars in Arms Park, the entire Rex Theatre, a stunning mural at Great North Aleworks, and a piece celebrating Cat Alley.

Drawing has always been a passion for Jyl, stemming from her earliest memories with a friend at the kitchen table. Taking on the challenge to draw every day has allowed her to beautify Manchester, one little contribution at a time.
