Kid's Crocheting Workshop
Dear Friends,
Is your child a rising 4-6 grader interested in learning how to crochet? We invite them to join our Beginner’s Crochet Workshop this August! A perfect chance for kids to gather, focus their energy, and dive into a relaxing craft.
This workshop will be led by Maddy Varela, a rising sophomore at Amherst College home for the summer. Maddy is an avid crafter who loves hands-on projects and enjoys sharing her passion for crocheting with kids.
In this beginner-friendly session, participants will be gently guided through the foundational basics of crocheting. They’ll learn how to:-
- Start with a slip knot
- Master the single crochet
- Practice both increase and decrease stitches
Using their new skills, they'll create their very own blooming flower charm — the perfect addition to their school backpacks!
