Life drawing and portrait class

Join us for life drawing and portrait classes in South Norwood, SE25! 🖌️

You will be guided by Jonny Kemp, a talented artist recognized for his South Drawood exhibition and portraits displayed at Stanley Arts. Jonny was featured on Sky Arts Portrait Artist of the Year in 2023 and earned his MA in Fine Art in 2025.

Our sessions are informally tutored, offering you the freedom to express your creativity while receiving friendly, constructive feedback. Both portrait and life drawing skills complement each other, making it beneficial to explore both disciplines! 🖼️

We will be drawing from live models. Basic materials, including pencils, charcoal, erasers, and paper, are provided, but you are welcome to bring your own dry materials. Plus, enjoy access to a kitchen with tea, coffee, and biscuits! 🍵🍪

This class is suitable for absolute beginners as well as more experienced artists.

Where: St Mark’s Church Hall, Albert Road, SE25 4JD
When: Thursday evenings, 7-9pm

Sessions are drop-in and payable at the door for £18, but you can book in advance for a discounted rate of £15! If you find you cannot make it, I can transfer tickets to another date up to 24 hours before the class; please email me. I cannot accommodate last-minute changes while covering the venue and model costs. Thank you for your understanding!
