Logos Circle: Lisbon
Welcome to the August edition of the Lisbon Circle!
Please note we have a new venue for the summer months June–August: we’ll be meeting at Xenon Domus to continue our ongoing micro-rewilding winnable issue and urban garden work on-site.
Logos Circles are local, self-organising groups that take action on real issues where their members live. As the old system fails, they build what people actually need: a community that supports them, the agency to solve their own problems, and sovereign technology to act with.
From housing and food insecurity to surveillance capitalism, we believe real change starts locally. This is a chance to meet like-minded people and keep building the projects that matter. Everyone is welcome, whether you've been with us from the start or are joining for the first time.
What We'll Be Doing
This month's Circle will be hands-on. We'll begin building the Portal Garden a modular, portable urban garden that lives inside Xenon Domus and can be wheeled into public spaces to temporarily transform a parking spot into a small neighbourhood park.
The Portal Garden is designed as a collection of modular units on wheels that can be rearranged, expanded, and stacked for storage. Different modules will serve different purposes, including:
Seedling donation and propagation beds
Edible plants and herbs
Small trees and biodiversity planting
A compost module and rainwater collection point (pending municipal support)
When complete, the garden can be rolled into a nearby parking space to create a temporary public green space—a place for neighbours to gather, learn, and reconnect with nature before returning to Xenon Domus where they will form an indoor public green space.
During this Circle we'll:
Begin constructing the first Portal Garden modules
Finalise the modular design and materials
Prepare the structure for future planting
Plan the next build sessions and future public deployments
Whether you're interested in design, woodworking, gardening, urban ecology, or simply getting your hands dirty, you're welcome to join us. No previous experience is required—we'll build it together.
About Logos
Logos brings together a technology stack and a social movement to form a parallel society.
The stack provides the infrastructure: decentralised, private-by-default tools for communication, storage, and coordination. The movement builds local institutions on it, through community action, problem solving, skill building, mutual aid, and a culture of civic duty.
In this way, Logos produces:
Sovereign individuals, free to speak, transact, and exit without permission.
Sound money, free from debasement and censorship.
Private coordination, where revealing yourself is a choice.
Communities with the agency to solve their own problems.
Logos Circles are the local expression of this. Real change starts locally.
