Kicking off this inspiring series is Meet the Moment: LOVE DEMOCRACY, a group exhibition featuring talented Bay Area artists who delve into themes of belonging, identity, and community.

About the Artists:

• Afatasi The Artist: A native San Franciscan of Black American and Sāmoan descent, known for her Afrofuturist textile art, metal sculptures, and wearable art.
• Camille Cohen: A photojournalist whose work has graced esteemed publications such as The New York Times and The Washington Post.
• Danielle “CALIBIRD” Fernandez: A Bayview-based multidisciplinary artist and community advocate, known for her initiative Dragonspunk.
• Malik Seneferu: An award-winning muralist and painter whose work exhibits globally and locally, focusing on poignant societal themes.
• Margaret Wingard: A multimedia artist recognized for her innovative installations and abstract mediums like dyed aluminum.
• Rasheid Lattimore (Akeemraheem): A graffiti artist who fuses hip-hop culture with traditional art forms, capturing the urban essence on canvas.

Collector Spotlight:

• Bradley McCallum & Natasha Becker: This artist-curator duo contributes selected works from their collection, challenging perceptions of race and identity.
• Mushi Wooseong James: Creative Director of the Djerassi Resident Artists Program, known for his innovative, collaborative conceptual works.
• Paul D. Henderson: A dedicated San Francisco collector focused on amplifying the voices of marginalized artists.
