Some of the most generous and connective music ever made; carrying both the weight of injustice and the hope for liberation. Born from a need for freedom, expression and joy in the face of hardship, these weren’t just genres but cultural movements. Black, queer and marginalised communities now had spaces that they could exist on their own terms, in their own sound. This is music that brings all walks of life together and gets you feeling something true.. you are alive and not alone !!
