NATURE TECH FOR INSURANCE Powered by Pemberton
Biodiversity loss and climate related risks are increasingly recognised as material considerations for the insurance sector. At the same time, new approaches to environmental data and modelling are emerging that make it possible to measure, monitor and verify nature-related change with greater consistency and transparency.
This event brings together participants from the insurance market, public sector and the nature tech community to explore how these developments can support risk assessment, underwriting and decision making.
The event will include a Keynote from Lloyd's of London followed by a nature tech innovation showcase, where selected companies present solutions to a panel of experts including DEFRA, actuaries, and industry leaders. Topics around nature tech, specifically environmental monitoring / modelling and insurance applications relevant to both climate and nature related risk.
The event will be followed by a NatureTech Collective working group on Thursday the 14th of May at LSE, focused on data interoperability and the development of shared approaches for nature related data in insurance.
