New Yiddish Poetry & New Music Concert
Join us for a vibrant evening at the Shtetl Berlin Grassroots Festival 2026! 🎉 This special event, held at Grüner Salon, showcases the blossoming of new Yiddish poetry created right here in Berlin.
From the rich history of Yiddish art, music, and culture, we present two thrilling acts:
✨ World Premiere: An original collaboration between accordionist Patrick Farrell and Yiddish poet Yael Merlini. Experience the magic of spoken word and beautiful accordion melodies as they bring their creative visions to life.
🎤 Di Shkatulkelekh: This talented group breathes new life into poems by Berlin-based Yiddish poet Katerina Kuznetsova through innovative compositions that blend balladry, jazz, and spoken word. Inspired by Kuznetsova's unique voice and vitality in the contemporary literary scene, they create musical treasures that resonate deeply.
Copies of Glozperl, Kuznetsova's newly published book, will be available for purchase and signing at the concert! 📚
