About the event
Join us for our second maa·tay Mateada at Washington Square Park.
An afternoon of sharing traditional yerba mate, meeting new people, and slowing down together.
Whether you're a lifelong matero or curious to try your first pour, you're welcome in the circle. Bring your own mate if you have one—we'll also have plenty to share.
We'll have both hot water for traditional mate and ice-cold water for tereré, plus homemade empanadas from Aba's Empanadas.
What to bring:
Your mate, bombilla, and thermos (if you have them)
A blanket or something to sit on
Friends and family—everyone is welcome
