Paris Dreams: Music of the Belle Époque

✨ Featuring violinist Cedar Newman and pianist Calvin Abdiel, this event captures the essence of France’s Belle Époque, drawing you into a world rich with lyrical beauty, vibrant colors, and imaginative artistry.

Cedar, a proud Wollongong local, is currently studying on a President’s Scholarship at the Manhattan School of Music in New York. Calvin, a talented Australian pianist of Indonesian heritage now based in Germany, is celebrated for his accolades in major international competitions.

In addition, the evening commemorates Antoine de Saint-Exupéry Day, honoring the legendary aviator, writer, and humanist. Enjoy excerpts from Saint-Exupéry’s works as the music echoes the cultural influences that shaped his magical vision of connection and courage.

All profits from the concert will support the Emerging Artist Concert Series, providing paid performance opportunities for stellar young Australian musicians to engage with audiences in regional settings.
