PASS PAUSE PLAY is a night where songwriters come together to pass the mic, pause for a second to tell you a story, and then play their songs in one shared set.

About:
Based on a Nashville ‘in-the-rounds’ model - 3-4 artists will take turns playing their songs, going around the circle 3-4 times depending on the show. In between each song, artists are encouraged to respond to one another through questions, reflections, and any tangents that may arise.
These ‘between’ moments lead to beautiful insights into song writing, artistic life, and the nuances in experience in each performer’s work.

PASS PAUSE PLAY is a deliberately informal gig space that allows artists and audiences to connect in ways a pub or concert hall might restrict.
Audiences and artists have both voiced how the organic conversational moments of these shows are often the most memorable.

JUMBLES
Jumbles is a trio made up of guitarist and vocalist Ben McDermott, drummer Daryl Crowley and bassist William Laz. Hailing from the Central Coast, London and Wollongong, the band is based in Sydney, Australia. With inspiration drawn from 2000s emo, alternative rock and neo-soul, the band has developed a sonic signature equal parts devastating and beautiful.

BONNIESONGS
Bonniesongs makes music that is both mellow and hazy and driven and edgy, traversing art-folk, psychedelia, dream-pop and grunge. She could be compared to art-rock and alternative artists such as PJ Harvey, Feist and Grouper.

MANGUS & CO. (TAS)
Hailing from lutruwita/Tasmania, Mangus & Co. draw on boisterous fingerstyle guitar and fierce growling vocals, influenced by classic Americana, pre-war blues, & trad-jazz. With three studio albums and two live releases, their 2024 vinyl album ‘I Don’t Think I’m Here’ debuted at No. 18 on the Australian Independent Records chart.
