Passing the Torch - Youth Empowerment Games

Join us for the Passing the Torch Youth Empowerment Games, a vibrant community-building event hosted by Latinos Unidos of York in collaboration with the York City Police Department and the York Safety Collab! 🏅

Now in its fourth year, this event unites youth ages 10–17 with local law enforcement officers in friendly, Olympic-style competitions aimed at strengthening relationships and fostering trust 🤝. Younger kids can also engage in fun activities like tug-of-war and more!

Activities include:

• Obstacle courses 🏃‍♂️
• Relay races 🏁
• Tug-of-war 💪
• Basketball 🏀

This event honors the legacy of Harry O. Colón, a cherished community member who organized this gathering in previous years before his passing in November 2023. We celebrate his memory and continue his mission to empower youth and promote community unity through healthy competition and enjoyment. 🌈

Enjoy free food and drinks, music 🎶, and medals and awards for all participating youth! 🎖️
