📅 Join us on June 23rd for an illuminating presentation by A.J.B. Johnston titled "French and Acadians in 18th-Century Nova Scotia: Upheaval and Beyond". This talk will be held both in-person and online via ZOOM.

About the Presentation

A.J.B. Johnston will present a well-illustrated exploration of the intriguing history of Louisbourg, Grand-Pré, and the significant upheaval in the Maritimes during the 1750s that continues to shape our regional narrative.

About the Speaker

With years of experience as a historian with Parks Canada, A.J.B. Johnston is renowned for his extensive publications on Louisbourg and Grand-Pré. An independent historian since 2009, he has contributed to various museums and historic sites across the Maritimes. For his impressive work on the French presence in Atlantic Canada, Johnston was honored with the title of Chevalier of the Ordre des Palmes Académiques by the French government. With a PhD from Université Laval, he has authored or co-authored 21 books, including 16 on history and 5 novels, currently working on the fourth installment of his Thomas Pichon series.
