Preserving workshop
Join us for a hands-on workshop where you'll dive into the traditional preserving techniques of our grandparents! Are you overwhelmed with seasonal produce and unsure of what to do with it? Fear not!
🧑🍳 Led by Margaret Mossakowska from Moss House, this session will share invaluable food preserving skills and is perfect for all levels. You'll learn to:
- Preserve fruits and vegetables
- Create delicious pickles, dehydrated goods, and fermented treats

We'll be making a beetroot preserve from scratch, so come prepared to get your hands dirty! 🥕
✨ Every participant will take home a jar of their creation — a great way to remember the experience! Don’t forget to bring an apron!
This workshop is sponsored by Ku-ring-gai Council's Environmental Levy.
Set in the stunning Ku-ring-gai Wildflower Garden, a unique urban bushland spanning 123 hectares with diverse ecosystems, this venue is a hidden gem. Take advantage of the beautiful hikes and picnic areas while you’re here! 🌼
