About the event

Welcome to Farshid Nasrabadi's exhibition, Relational Gravity Distorts Time, but I Keep Running! 🎨

Join us for the exhibition opening on May 21st from 18:00 to 22:00. This captivating display will be available to view from May 23rd to June 5th, and will be open:

  • Wednesday to Friday: 17:00 - 19:00
  • Saturday and Sunday: 14:00 - 17:00
    (Also open by appointment)

This photographic installation highlights the emotional turmoil of feeling like an outsider in Swedish society. Using the metaphor of traffic signs obscured by construction, the exhibition addresses the complex feelings of confusion and dislocation faced by immigrants. 🏙️

Key Themes Explored:

  • Locomotion Challenges: Navigating a higher-gravity planet simulates the strenuous effort it takes to explore identity.
  • Cardiovascular Strain: The heart's effort resonates with the emotional burdens we carry.
  • Musculoskeletal Stress: The struggle against societal constraints mirrors physical exhaustion.
  • Human Survival Limits: The display reflects on resilience in the face of adversity.

Visitors will traverse through evocative images and sounds from Iran and Sweden, experiencing the nuanced interplay of belonging and displacement. 🎧
