🎤 About This Week's Artist: Emmy Woods
Emmy Woods (she/they) hails from rural North Dakota and now calls Saint Paul home. With influences from country, folk, and blues, Emmy's storytelling prowess shines through her extraordinary musical artistry and ethereal voice.
She has been inspired by icons like Billie Holiday, Emmylou Harris, and Against Me, and has shared the stage with talented performers such as Melissa Carper, Sarah Morris, Ryan Young of Trampled by Turtles, and Cam Whitcomb.
Despite beginning her songwriting journey at 13, it wasn't until 2023 that she broke into the Minnesota music scene, releasing three incredible music collections. Since then, she has produced several singles and an EP, captivating audiences in dive bars, markets, ballrooms, and festivals alike. With her charming personality and unique genre-blending sound, Emmy continues to gain momentum.
