Since her breakthrough in 2016, Åsa Söderqvist's ShitKid has captivated audiences by defying expectations and breaking conventions. With accolades from The FADER, i-D, NPR, and The Line of Best Fit, she has made a significant mark in the music scene. After abruptly ending the project in 2020 and disappearing from the music scene altogether, ShitKid is now back, set to tour around the world in 2026 as she celebrates 10 years since her debut single and EP, alongside the release of The Essential (Vol 1), a compilation of her career highlights.

ShitKid first burst onto the scene with her debut single "Oh Please Be A Cocky Cool Kid" and has since released a series of albums and EPs, including the cult classic Fish, the breakthrough EP This Is It, and the Melvins collaboration Duo Limbo/"Mellan himmel å helvete". She has performed at renowned festivals like Roskilde, SXSW, The Great Escape, and Way Out West, and has shared the stage with acts such as the Melvins and US Girls. She has made fans of the likes of Iggy Pop, Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong, and Fever Ray. ShitKid returned in November 2026 as the sole guest to Viagra Boys' homecoming show at the Globe Arena in Stockholm, with a busy 2026 to follow.
