Silent Book Club Torrance @ Mimi's Cafe 7/8

***Spots are limited for this event, so make sure to register here! This helps us plan and guarantees everyone has a seat. We kindly encourage attendees to support Mimi's Cafe by purchasing food and/or beverages as a thank-you for using their lovely private space.***A group photo will be taken right after our silent reading hour. If you'd prefer not to be in it, feel free to step away and stretch while the photo is taken. We will also capture a shot of all our books stacked together, so if you’d like to participate, you’re welcome to join!

***Feel free to bring headphones, earplugs, or similar for the reading portion, as there may be café chatter and background music.

Welcome to the Silent Book Club chapter in Torrance, CA! Whether you're an avid reader or just seeking new bookish friends, this event is open to all. Bring your own book; there’s no assigned reading! We’ll spend time reading silently with a chance to socialize. All readers are welcome!

The Event

Join us atMimi's Cafe, a charming bistro known for its artisanal comfort dishes and classic bistro fare, all prepared with a personal touch. We’ll meet in the winery room to enjoy fantastic food and drinks, great books, and a relaxing evening.

Important Notes

• Upon arrival, let the staff know you are attending the book club so they can guide you to the winery room.
• Checks will be itemized and separate, so each person will pay for their own orders. No need to split checks; just pay at the bar outside the winery room.

Schedule

-6:00 - 6:30: Settle in, chit-chat, and order food/beverages
-6:30 - 6:40: Introductions
-6:40 - 7:40: Silent reading
-7:40 - 7:50: Group picture
-7:50 - 8:30: Chit-chat and hang out
