Singing workshop with Windborne

Join us for an all-day singing workshop with Windborne, an acclaimed singing quartet from the USA! 🎤
What: A vibrant singing experience that brings together music lovers for a day of fun and harmony!
When: All day, from 10am to 4pm (including a lunch break)
Where: Chichester New Park Centre (Old Dojo Room), PO19 7XY

About the Workshop:
This engaging workshop takes place in the heart of Chichester. Throughout the day, self-serve tea and coffee will be available in the small kitchen nearby. There will be a break for lunch where you can enjoy your packed meal in the Old Dojo Room, take a stroll to the park for some fresh air, or explore Chichester's shops and cafes.
Chairs will be provided, but expect to get up and move as Windborne encourages participation! If you have any specific accessibility requirements, please let us know at adwemsfest@gmail.com.

About Windborne:
Described as “the most exciting vocal group in a generation,” Windborne harnesses deep roots in vocal harmony, bringing age-old songs to life. With innovative arrangements, their harmonies are bold, surprising, and richly expressive. 🎵
In this workshop, you’ll learn songs from their American roots, including themes of protest and freedom from their albums To Warm the Winter Hearth and Song on the Times, alongside folk songs gathered during their travels. The session is open to everyone and taught by ear by the members of Windborne: Jeremy Carter-Gordon, Lynn Rowan, Will Rowan, and Lauren Breunig.

Meet the Band:
With over 20 years of experience studying polyphonic music worldwide, Lauren, Jeremy, Lynn, and Will bring vibrant energy and a unique blend of voices honed by friendship and practice. Their performances traverse continents and eras, showcasing the extraordinary power and diversity of the human voice. 🎤

Each workshop includes stories behind the songs, providing insight into the traditions and styles they perform, creating an engaging and entertaining experience for all! 🌍
