Sip & Scribble | MJC x Kibicha

Join us for a gentle afternoon of journalling and matcha hosted by Markham Journal Club and Kibicha.

🍵 Sip on a comforting twist on a traditional drink while we reminisce together in our journals about a memorable trip, a childhood memory, or something that reminds you of home.

✏️ Come with a friend or arrive solo! Many participants are joining to make friends. No experience is required; we’re a beginner-friendly space. There will be experienced journallers who are happy to share tips :)

Please bring your own journal/scrapbook, and any photos/ephemera/“junk” you’d like to use. We'll have a shared supplies table to start you off, which you're welcome to contribute to if you have extras to spare!

Your Ticket Includes:

• Your choice from three nostalgic flavours of matcha (Mango Sticky Rice, Strawberry, Red Bean), whisked and poured onsite by Kibicha
• Admission to our event space for 2.75 hours to work on your creative hobby
• Use of Markham Journal Club’s collection of supplies like scissors, glue, washi tape, and assorted fun things curated by your hosts
• A small fee to support our event organizers and volunteers

Please e-transfer $18.40 to [email protected]. Registration will be approved after payment has been received. Please allow up to 24 hours for approval.

Know Before You Go:

• Parking: The parking lot is owned by GO Transit, and parking there is not allowed. Avoid parking in the Station Plaza parking lot across the street to prevent tickets or towing. The venue recommends parking on the east side of Peter Street.
• Refund Policy: Tickets are non-refundable but may be transferred to someone else to attend in your place. To transfer your ticket, please reach out at least 24 hours before the event using Luma's Contact the Host option.
• Media Notice: Photos and videos will be taken at the event for promotional/archival purposes. If you prefer not to be photographed or filmed, let our hosts know when you arrive, and we will accommodate your request.
