Sound Scribble w Lofty Spot: Movement as Gesture

Join us for Sound Scribble, a vibrant live program that combines sound and drawing labs to explore the fascinating interplay between visual marks, sonic textures, movement, memory, and atmosphere!

As part of the Lofty Spot residency programme, this exciting project is led by visual artist Kandre Arámide Hassan in collaboration with Meet in the MIDI, who will facilitate live sonic translation throughout the sessions.

🌟 Session 1: Movement as Gesture

Dive into the first session of the Sound Scribble series, where we’ll discover how tempo influences the relationship between what we hear and how we draw. Participants will engage in:

• Continuous marks
• Repeated gestures
• Interruptions
• Rhythmic patterns

As we navigate through evolving sound, drawn movements transform into sonic rhythms, which in turn inspire more drawing, creating a collective language through shared responses!

Open to everyone! No previous experience in art, drawing, or music is necessary. The sessions focus on participation, experimentation, and collaborative creation rather than performance or technical skill.
