Splinter Reeds

Join Splinter Reeds for their exciting annual concert celebrating contemporary compositions for reed quintet, featuring works with and without electronics by esteemed composers such as Seare Ahmad Farhat, Jasmine Morris, Dan VanHassel, and Paula Matthusen. 🌿

Founded in 2013, Splinter Reeds has roots in the rich New Music community of the Bay Area. Despite most members now residing across the country, their spirit remains firmly anchored here. Known as one of the most adventurous reed quintets in the contemporary classical scene, they have premiered numerous works and contributed to festivals including Long Play, Time:Spans (NYC), FeNAM (Sacramento), Taproot (UC Davis), and Music Current (Dublin). 🌍

This program will feature exclusively new works, making their debut in the Bay Area!
