About Tanabata/Star-Prayer Festival

Tanabata, or the Star Festival, is a beloved Japanese festival celebrating the reunion of the deities Orihime and Hikoboshi, represented by the stars Vega and Altair. This festival is rooted in a romantic legend and typically features festive decorations like tanzaku (small paper strips for writing wishes), bamboo branches, and joyous community gatherings.
