Family art workshop accompanying the exhibition HIT BY NEWS.
There is news we welcome and news we do not welcome. Words and sentences we do not say and those that are not said. And there is also information that must not be said. We do not know much about it because it is forbidden or secret, but we know it exists.
As the comprehensive exhibition HIT BY NEWS shows, the easy availability of print media has significantly increased literacy and helped society develop, but it has also led to the population being influenced on an unprecedented scale. And because artists are a litmus test for social problems, they very often criticize censorship, one-sided views of the world, and demagoguery in their work. Sometimes they can do so openly, other times very covertly. In an exhibition featuring nearly 400 works of art, we find a huge number of different encrypted and hidden messages, and then it is up to you to decide what, how, and from whom to hide. And what not to. An experimental art workshop of secret messages.
