Tamale-Making Demonstration & Tasting

Tamale-Making Demonstration & Tasting

About the event

Join us for a delightful culinary journey where we celebrate the art of traditional tamale making! ๐ŸŒŸ This engaging demonstration will teach you the vital techniques for crafting tamales, including:

  • Proper masa hydration and preparation ๐Ÿฅ™
  • An overview of red sauce creation ๐Ÿ…
  • Savory meat fillings ๐ŸŒถ๏ธ

Participants will be guided step-by-step on how to assemble tamales from beginning to end. The first 20โ€“30 attendees will even have the chance to make their own tamales! ๐ŸŽˆ

While our tamales are steaming, weโ€™ll show you how to whip up fresh chimichurri and salsa fresca. ๐Ÿฅ— At the end of the session, freshly steamed tamales will be servedโ€”one per person for the first 60 attendees! You can choose between two tantalizing varieties:

  • Cheese & Green Chile (vegetarian) ๐ŸŒฑ
  • Chicken with Red Sauce ๐Ÿ—

Come ready to learn, taste, and indulge in this warm and flavorful experience led by Marissa Bryson from the Salt and Light Collective. ๐Ÿ™Œ
